ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the safety and efficacy of knife assisted polypectomy (KAP) in the treatment of colorectal pedicle polyps (Paris type 0-Ⅰp).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 42 patients with colorectal pedicle polyps who were treated with KAP at Endoscopy Center of Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University and Xuhui District Central Hospital from May to September 2019. Procedure time and complication rates were used to assess the effects of KAP.Results:A total of 48 polyps were found in 42 cases. The median diameter of polyps was 2.0 cm(0.8-3.5 cm). The mean operating time was 11.3±1.1 min. All patients had no severe bleeding or perforation during operation and no delayed bleeding, delayed perforation or electrocoagulation syndrome after operation. Postoperative pathology showed that the margins of all cases were negative. Conclusion:KAP operation is safe and efficient, but long-term efficacy still needs further clinical verification.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of omeprazole combined with Huxue huayu tongluo formula on the efficacy and relevant indexes of diabetic gastroparesis gastric motility disorder. METHODS:92 patients with diabetic gastroparesis gastric motili-ty disorder were randomly divided into observation group and control group. All patients were given diabetes dietary guidance and exercise guidance, and patients with combined metabolic disorders and hypertension were given lipid lowering, antihypertensive and other conventional treatment;based on it,control group was orally given 20 mg Omeprazole enteric-coated capsule, once a day;observation group was additionally given 300 ml Huxue huayu tongluo formula,150 ml once, twice a day. The treatment course for both groups was 14 d. Clinical efficacy, fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, whole blood viscosity level,moti-lin,gastrin,half gastric emptying time (GET1/2) before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);after treatment, fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, whole blood viscosity level, motilin, gastrin and GET1/2 in 2 groups were significantly lower than before, and observa-tion group was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);and there were no adverse reac-tions during treatment. CONCLUSIONS:Based on the conventional treatment, the efficacy of omeprazole combined with Huxue huayu tongluo formula is superior to omeprazole alone for diabetic gastroparesis gastric motility disorder,it can significantly reduce blood glucose and improve hemodynamics, with similar safety.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:Curcumin has crucial inhibitory effects on various cancer cels and cancer stem cels. However, its effect on gastric cancer stem cels and the underlying mechanism of this effect are unclear. OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of curcumin on gastric cancer stem cels and the underlying mechanism. METHODS:Tumor sphere-forming assay and gastric cancer stem cel markers (EpCAM and CD44) were used to separate gastric cancer stem cels from gastric cancer SGC7901 cel lines. Effects of curcumin on the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric cancer stem cels were determined by MTT and flow cytometry analysis, respectively. Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression levels of FoxM1, p-AKT, and AKT. LY294002, an inhibitor of the PI3K/AKT pathway, was used to determine the regulatory relationship between AKT and FoxM1 signaling pathways. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The EpCAM+/CD44+ gastric cancer stem cels were successfuly isolated from SGC7901 cels. MTT assay showed that curcumin inhibited the proliferation of gastric cancer stem cels, while flow cytometry analysis showed that curcumin induced apoptosis in gastric cancer stem cels. In addition, the expression levels of p-AKT and FoxM1 were decreased by curcumin treatment. After being treated by LY294002, the expression levels of p-AKT and FoxM1 were down-regulated markedly. In conclusion, curcumin can inhibit cel proliferation and induce apoptosis in gastric cancer stem celsvia the ATK/FoxM1 signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the clinical significance of oral pancreatin capsules for patients after total gastrectomy. Methods Ninety cases of total gastrectomy patients in Nanyang City Center Hospital were selected and randomly divided into trypsin group and control group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group were treated by conventional therapy, and the patients of trypsin group were treated by pancreatin capsules on the basis of conventional therapy after 3 weeks postoperation.Scores of EORTC QLQ-C30,korenaga and fecal fat contents were compared between two groups six months postoperation. Results No statistically significant difference was found in the scoring system of EORTC QLQ-C30,korenaga and fecal fat contents in two groups before administered,The score of role function, emotional function and overall health status in the scoring system of EORTC QLQ-C30 of patients in trypsin group were higher than control group after 6 months administration. The differences were statistically significant (P7g in trypsin group was lower than control group at 24 h.The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Oral pancreatin capsules could significantly improve the quality of life of patients after total gastrectomy, which is worthy of promoting.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To establish the HPLC fingerprint of Angelica polymorpha.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>The 10 batches of A. polymorpha were measured by HPLC with isoimperatorin as a reference substance and the chromatographic experients were performed on Kromasil 100A C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm), eluted with acetonitrile and water as mobile phase in gradient mode. The flow rate was 1.0 m x min(-1) and the detection wavelength was 254 nm.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The common mode of the HPLC fingerprints were set up. There were 8 common peaks in the fingerprint of 10 samples, and the similarity of the 10 samples was more than 0.9.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The method is simple, accurate and have a good reaptability. The quality of A. polymorpha can be controlled effectively by the HPLC fingerprint.</p>
